Part 1: How to Install Dock in Outlook

Option A: Outlook Web (Browser)
If Dock was installed via the AppSource link, skip steps 1-4 and look for Dock directly in your sidebar.
Open Outlook in your browser and log in to your account.
In the left-hand menu, click “More apps” and then select “Add apps.”
In the Add-ins Store, search for “Dock by BackOps AI.”
Click “Get It Now” to install the add-in.
Once installed, Dock will appear in your sidebar or under the Apps tab when viewing an email.
To keep Dock easily accessible, right-click the Dock icon and select “Pin.”
Option B: Outlook Desktop App (Windows/Mac)
Open the Outlook Desktop App and log in to your Microsoft account.
Click the three dots (⋯) in the toolbar to access more options.
Select “Customize Toolbar.”
In the popup that appears, click “Manage Add-ins” this will open the Microsoft AppSource in your browser.
In the search bar, type “Dock by BackOps AI.”
Click Install and follow the prompts to add it to Outlook.
Return to Customize Toolbar and drag the Dock icon into your toolbar for easy access.
Pinning Dock in either version of Outlook keeps it one click away at all times. Once pinned, Dock can be easily accessible when viewing any email.
Part 2: Using Dock to Handle Emails
Once Dock is installed, here’s how to use it to speed up your workflow:
Open any email in your inbox.
Click the Dock icon in the sidebar or toolbar.
Dock will automatically analyze the email and context.
You'll see an AI-generated summary or suggested action based on the message.
Click “Generate Draft” to create a polished reply.
Click “Insert” to place the draft into your reply editor.
Make any edits you want before sending—or click Send if it’s ready to go.
If the draft needs tweaking or if you want to explore a different direction:
Type a follow-up question directly in the Dock panel
Dock will refine the draft or suggest an alternative
You can also start a new chat to ask a fresh question unrelated to the current email.
You can add other platform integrations via the Integrations page on the left hand column in your workspace.
